In 1882 Harry Hathaway, a manufacturer of sweaters and hats, built this 19 room Queen Anne Victorian home on Main St. in Oriskany Falls. In the early 1900's a fire destroyed a portion of the tower and attic. Charred timbers remain in the attic today.

Mr. Hathaway died in 1927. The house remained in the Hathaway family until the 1940's when it was sold and converted into four apartments. During the 40's the apartments were occupied by the wives of World War II servicemen. After the War husbands rejoined wives. Interesting stories are shared by these people who still reside in the area.

In 1995 the house was restored to a single family dwelling. The splendor of unique woodwork, ornate tin ceiling, four fireplaces, pocket doors, formal dining room, spacious rooms with 10' ceilings and stained glass allows one to step back into gracious living of the Victorian period.
